At TxGuitarRx, I’m dedicated to providing high-quality guitar and bass service with the kind of personal attention that’s hard to find in a high-volume shop. By keeping things small, I’m able to focus on exceptional work. No upsells, no shortcuts, no compromises.
I know how important it is to find a technician you can trust. It’s a personal choice, and I take that seriously. Every instrument I work on gets the same level of care and attention I’d give to my own.
Hi, I’m Jon, owner and sole tech at TxGuitarRx. I bring over 20 years of experience to the bench, including a career as an engineer and Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. Precision, integrity, and attention to detail are built into everything I do.
This isn’t a factory setup experience. Each instrument receives one-on-one attention from the time it reaches my bench until the work is complete. I’m not trying to push guitars through as quickly as possible. Every guitar gets individually evaluated and dialed in to match your playing style, preferences, and the instrument itself.
If I find something that needs attention, I’ll communicate what I find, explain my recommendations, and work with you to determine the best way forward for your instrument, priorities, and budget. You’ll know what I recommend and exactly why before any additional work is done.
I don’t just aim for “good enough.” I aim to make each instrument feel and perform its best.
Whether your guitar is a well-loved workhorse or a prized instrument you wouldn’t trust to just anyone, my goal is simple: give it the time, care, and precision it deserves so you can keep playing with confidence.
